DIY WhatsApp-based microlearning: a step-by-step guide

This toolkit helps health programmes plan, design and deliver their own WhatsApp-based microlearning for healthcare workers. It is based on the approach used to train more than 2,000 healthcare workers in South Africa on six-month multi-month dispensing (6MMD), TPT national guidelines and re-engagement. The guide has 10 short parts in two stages:

• Creating the lessons (Parts 1–5): budgeting, planning, adapting existing modules and designing new ones.
• Delivering the training (Parts 6–10): setting up groups, recruitment, running sessions and measuring participation.
