An estimated 37 million people are living with HIV globally with an estimated 18 million currently on treatment. Increasing access to treatment, and to HIV services in general, will require more than a “one-size-fits-all” approach to HIV service delivery. On World AIDS Day 2016, JIAS deputy editor, Anna Grimsrud and editorial board members, Nathan Ford and Linda-Gail Bekker co-authored a viewpoint article illustrating how a differentiated care approach to service delivery is essential to effectively reaching all PLHIV and edging closer to the goal of ending AIDS by 2030.
