In Côte d’Ivoire, ART established clients attending health facilities can access ART refills through patient support groups (called adherence clubs), run by community counsellors and social assistants at the facilities. This is a healthcare worker-managed group model, which can be facility or community based. In Côte d’Ivoire, the facility fast track model (facility-based individual model) is also approved in policy.
By June 2018, 49% of the country’s facilities were implementing one of these two models, reaching 30,518 (74%) of eligible clients.
