In 2016, the National Department of Health in South Africa published “Adherence Guidelines for HIV, TB and NCDs”. An evaluation of the implementation of these guidelines, known as the National Adherence Guidelines for chronic diseases, was undertaken. Two reports published in July 2017 analyze the results of qualitative research on perspectives of differentiated care models – one on healthcare provider perspectives and the other on patient perspectives.
