Although normative guidelines, strategic planning documents and implementation tools exist for tuberculosis (TB)/HIV services in general, and, in particular, for TB preventive therapy (TPT) for people living with HIV, there are currently no resources designed specifically to support the integration of TPT into differentiated antiretroviral therapy (ART) delivery models. The CQUIN TB/HIV community of practice has thus prioritized the development of a toolkit to serve as a practical resource. Building on the formative work, including that of the International AIDS Society (IAS), this document will also complement other practical tools that can be adapted by countries and programs and tailored to local context. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) developed an addendum guide to the TPT Toolkit for incorporating TPT into DSD which also informed this document.
