“Postnatal Clubs” (PNC) are a new differentiated model of care created by Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in partnership with mothers2mothers (m2m) and the City of Cape Town (CoCT) in South Africa. The clubs aim to improve postnatal care and postpartum HIV care through integration of services for maternal and child health and prevention of mother to child transmission of HIV.
Read more about PNC here, or in the toolkit document below. These aim to provide programmatic information and advice on what is required to start PNCs in other facilities as well as to provide a practical guide for implementing and managing PNCs, including how to support mother-infant pairs in clinical care and early childhood development as part of the First Thousand Days.
